Pie are not squared
November 24, 2007
In honor of Thanksgiving, how math geeks make pies.
Check out turkey tek‘s Pie-cosahdron, “a pie with the topology of a sphere from 20 triangular sub-pie modules attached with amazing magnets.”
And for perhaps the world’s geekiest (if not exactly pragmatic) solution to the large pie problem (unacceptable crust to filling ratio), there’s turkey tek’s 2004 giant fractal pie.
Enjoy! If you just celebrated Thanksgiving (or even if you celebrated some time ago!), I hope you enjoyed yours, and in any case, have a wonderful weekend!

WOW! I’m hungry now, but I’d be scared to eat that. Very cool!
